Minister Satyakumar Yadav's Commitment to Telugu Language Preservation

Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satyakumar Yadav strongly criticized previous government policies, accusing them of undermining the Telugu language by prioritizing English-medium education and neglecting Telugu's growth and preservation.

“The notion that speaking English is superior must change. Telugu is our heritage and identity,” Satyakumar stated. He highlighted how past decisions to impose English medium education faced widespread opposition from language enthusiasts and the public.

Satyakumar pointed out the negligence faced by the Mysore-based Ancient Language Research Center, brought to Andhra Pradesh by former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu’s efforts. He criticized the previous administration for failing to provide a dedicated building or facilities for the center in Nellore. Instead, Swarna Bharati Trust had to bear basic expenses, including electricity bills.

The Minister emphasized that this neglect reflects the previous regime's apathy toward Telugu language preservation. "The coalition government has rectified this by building a permanent facility for the research center and ensuring its operational stability," Satyakumar remarked.

He pledged continuous efforts to promote and protect Telugu, asserting, “Killing the language is akin to killing Telugu culture. Telugu is eternal and will thrive as long as the sun and moon exist.”

The minister lauded the central government’s decision to allow entrance exams in regional languages and urged parents to ensure their children learn their mother tongue. Satyakumar emphasized the role of language enthusiasts, citizens, and the government in strengthening Telugu.

“Telugu’s legacy cannot be erased, and I will personally ensure efforts for its growth and protection,” he concluded, reaffirming his dedication to the cause.
