Milind Deores excellence rewarded, elevated as Secretary, BEE.

Mr Milind Deore assumed charge as the new Secretary of the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Government of India. Mr Milind has completed his M.Tech in energy management and systems from IIT Bombay have rich experience of more than 20 years in the area of energy efficiency and sustainability.

He worked in various positions as Project Executive at Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA), corporate sustainably & energy manager at Kirloskar oil engines Limited, and Subject matter expert in the sustainability division in M/S. Jacobs then started his career in the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), GoI as one of the directors since 2012 and at present appointed and taken charge as Secretary of BEE.

During his regime as director, he played an influential role in implementing Perform, Achieve and Trade (PAT) in the industrial sector, energy efficiency in Micro small and medium enterprises and Capacity building of DISCOMs in areas of energy efficiency and loss reduction etc.

He graduated Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Uttar Maharashtra Vidyapeeth and also completed an MBA in finance from Savitiribai Phule Pune University.

In addition to his subject expertise, Mr Milind is a hardworking professional who set high targets for the organization and himself. He played a crucial role in pushing states to achieve energy efficiency especially in industrial sector. He is a key ally to Andhra Pradesh power sector; his assistance along with BEE to APSECM is a favorable factor towards its excellence.

His elevation as Secretary, BEE, will further strengthen India’s energy efficiency and green energy transition resolve.
