Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will be in the national capital on Wednesday to discuss proposals related to the state in the Union Budget. The chief minister is likely to meet 11 national leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav, minister for water resources Nimmala Rama Naidu and some other ministers would accompany the CM. This is for the first time that Naidu is visiting Delhi after taking charge as chief minister. He would hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman and others.
Officials here said there was also a possibility of the CM discussing the issues related to implementation of the 2014 state bifurcation plan. He would discuss with the central government the pending projects in the state and other issues. Officials have already collected details of the pending projects for presentation to the central government through the CM and his team of ministers while in Delhi
Naidu would seek industrial incentives to AP for promotion of industries and the Centre's cooperation in promotion of agriculture and allied sectors including the food processing sector. The CM would explain the damaged condition of the roads and stress the need for their repair and reconstruction. He will mention the status of the Polavaram project and the damage it experienced in the past. He would seek funds for Polavaram and also other financial assistance to the state.
