MP Harish Balayogi and SAP Chairman Animini Ravinaidu Meet PM Modi at National Youth Day Festival

Petition submitted to Prime Minister Modi regarding sports development in Andhra Pradesh.

Request for establishing youth hostels and allocating funds for the state.

NEWDELHI  : Amalapuram MP and Central Sports Parliamentary Committee member GM Harish Balayogi, along with SAP Chairman Animini Ravinaidu, urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to extend central government support to promote sports and cultural activities among the youth in Andhra Pradesh. The duo met the Prime Minister at the National Youth Day Festival held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on Sunday, where Modi attended the inauguration as the chief guest, accompanied by Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya.

As part of the event, 68 delegates from Andhra Pradesh participated in the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue-2025, on the invitation of Minister Mandaviya. MP Harish Balayogi and SAP Chairman Ravinaidu submitted a memorandum to PM Modi and Minister Mandaviya, highlighting the urgent need for the Center's support in developing the sports sector in Andhra Pradesh.

The memorandum stressed the plight of youth hostels in the state, which once served as vital resources for athletes but have now fallen into neglect, leaving athletes without proper accommodation facilities. They appealed for the construction of youth hostels in all districts of Andhra Pradesh to support aspiring athletes. Additionally, they requested central funding to enhance sports and cultural initiatives in the state, ensuring holistic growth and opportunities for the youth.

SAP Chairman Meets Union Education Minister

As part of the National Youth Day Festival, SAP Chairman Animini Ravinaidu, accompanied by MP Harish Balayogi, met Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. During the meeting, Ravinaidu detailed the joint initiatives being undertaken by the education and sports departments in Andhra Pradesh and sought the Center's continued support for these programs.
