Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar attended Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi's Yadav's Dawat-e-Iftar party on Friday evening. LJP (Ram Vilas) president Chirag Paswan and state industry minister Shahnawaz Hussain also attended the party.

Iftar parties have become an issue of politics these days in Bihar as leaders of different political parties are trying to score points over each other.

Ironically, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is going to visit Bihar on a two-day tourfrom Saturday. He will also participate in the Vijayotsav program of Veer Kunwar Singh in Jagdishpur, Bhojpur. During this, the record for hoisting the most tricolor will also be made. However, there is no schedule of him meeting the CM, and before that Nitish Kumar visiting Rabri Devi residence has made political analysts work overtime.

RJD's Iftar after 5-year-hiatus

The Dawat-e-Iftar at Rabri Devi's residence was organised after a gap of five years. The RJD seems to be constantly trying to adjust the new political equations following party's victory in the just held Bochan by-election.

Tej Pratap's invite to Amit Shah
Lalu, Rabri's elder son Tej Pratap had also invited Home Minister Amit Shah for today's Iftar party. Tej Pratap had shared the photo of the invitation card on his Twitter handle and said, "On the auspicious occasion of Ramzan, we extend warm welcome to Home Minister Amit Shah for Dawat-e-Iftar organised at 10 Circular Road on the holy land of Pataliputra."
