CPR Training Program Conducted for Lok Bhavan Staff
Vijayawada: In a significant initiative aimed at enhancing emergency preparedness and life-saving skills among government staff, CPR training program was successfully conducted for the staff of Lok Bhavan, Vijayawada.
The program was organized by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences in collaboration with the Indian Resuscitation Council Federation, with the theme CPR – Every One Can Do It, Make Every Citizen a Life Saver.
The event was presided over by Dr.P. Chandrasekhar, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. NTRUHS, who highlighted the University’s vision of extending essential life-support training beyond healthcare professionals to the wider community. Dr.SSC Chakra Rao, Chairman, IRCF, emphasized the importance of structured and standardized resuscitation training for non-medical personnel.
The training was conducted in two batches, during which more than 100 Lok Bhavan staff members were trained. The program included interactive lectures, live demonstrations and hands-on practice of Hands-Only CPR on mannequins, enabling participants to gain practical confidence in responding to emergencies.
The program was coordinated by Prof.K. Susila, Registrar, APNMC, and received enthusiastic participation and positive feedback from all attendees.
This initiative reflects the shared commitment of Dr. NTRUHS to creating a CPR-trained society and strengthening the chain of survival by empowering every citizen with basic life-saving skills.
