Four Decades of Fruitful Public Service: B Malla Reddy

Today marked the 40-year illustrious career for B. Malla Reddy, a retired I.P.S Officer currently serving as the Joint Managing Director, Vigilance, AP TRANSCO. Having started his career in public banking, Mr. Malla Reddy was destined for greatness. Soon after, he joined the Police as Deputy Superintendent and quickly rose through the ranks owing to his sincerity, commitment and passion for the public office. He truly brought honour and glory to the department. Having recognised his grit, the Andhra Pradesh Government led by its Chief Minister Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy appointed Malla Reddy as the Joint Managing Director, Vigilance, AP TRANSCO post his superannuation in Telangana.

He continues to serve the public with the same commitment and passion he exhibited as the young DSP back in the 80s. Speaking to the media on this occasion, he said that, ‘Today is a momentous and memorable day in my life as I complete 40 years of continuous Government service, a rare happening that was bestowed upon me by the grace of God. Exactly on this day, 40 years ago on 21.5.1984, began my career by joining as Agricultural officer in Syndicate Bank, a nationalised bank and later joining police department as Deputy Superintendent of police in September 1987 and there on. With all humility, I thank all my friends, well-wishers, relatives, elders, colleagues, junior and senior officers for their affability, affection and blessings all through my 40 years of career. On this occasion, I also profoundly thank the Hon’ble Chief minister of AP Sri Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy garu for his magnanimity for giving me an opportunity to serve in AP government after my superannuation in Telangana in June 2020.'
