Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has issued a stark warning over the ongoing Iran-Israel-US conflict, claiming the war was "imposed" on Tehran despite its willingness to negotiate. In a post on social media platform X, Asif claimed that the conflict was "orchestrated by Zionists" to expand Israel's regional footprint and said a potential Israeli victory could pave the way for India, Afghanistan and Iran to align against Pakistan. Such a development, he cautioned, would leave Islamabad "surrounded by enemies" and risk turning the country into a "vassal state".
Asif alleged that "Zionism", referring had played a "direct or indirect" role in all conflicts affecting the Islamic world ever since the creation of Israel in 1948 and claimed that the ideology was the driving force in any large-scale conflict in the Muslim world. Alleging that "major global powers were held hostage by Zionism", he said Zionists were the ones dictating the course of the global economy for decades. Notably, Pakistan shares an over 900-km-long border with Iran.
“Despite Iran's readiness for agreement, a war has been imposed upon them, and its agenda, orchestrated by the Zionists, includes bringing Israel's influence right up to Pakistan's border,” Asif said in the post, quoted by Geo News.
The minister then warned that should Israel emerge victorious, it would then lead to India, Afghanistan and Iran adopting a "joint single point agenda" of enmity towards Pakistan. According to Asif, this would make the country's borders insecure and "surrounding us with enemies from all sides and turning Pakistan into a vassal state
“The joint single point agenda of Afghanistan, Iran, and India will then be enmity towards Pakistan, making our borders insecure, surrounding us with enemies from all sides, and turning Pakistan into a vassal state,” he said in the post. “It is necessary for all 250 million Pakistanis, regardless of their political or religious affiliations, to understand this conspiracy and the intentions of our eternal enemies,” he added.
He also reaffirmed Pakistan's status as a nuclear power, which he argued was protecting Pakistan from the "Zionists" and claimed that "the might of our armed forces is recognised worldwide
