Lakshmi Panchami 2026: The sacred occasion of Lakshmi Panchami is observed on the fifth day of Shukla Paksha in the month of Chaitra. The day of Chaitra Shukla Panchami is very special as it is considered as Kalpadi Tithi, which symbolises the beginning of time. Along with this, this day is also called Lakshmi Panchami or Shri Panchami. This day is dedicated to the goddess of wealth, Mata Lakshmi. Devotees observe a fast and worship Mata Lakshmi on this day to get happiness, prosperity and blessings. It is also known as Sri Vrat.

Lakshmi Panchami, which falls during Navratri, holds great significance. Worshipping Maa Lakshmi on this day brings happiness and prosperity to the house. It is believed that by doing some easy remedies on this special day, the grace of the mother remains and there is never a shortage of wealth in life.
To perform Lakshmi Panchami Puja, take a bath early in the morning, wear clean clothes and decorate the puja altar and light a ghee diya. Install the idols of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu by spreading a yellow cloth on a wooden chowki. Offer white chandan, rice, turmeric knots and her beloved lotus flower to Maa Lakshmi. After that, install the urn with water, betel nut and pan.
Offer panchamrit and sweets to Mata Lakshmi during the puja. Then chant the mantra Om Shrim Hrim Shri Mahalakshmi Namah. Finally, perform Aarti of Shri Lakshmi Narayan and pray for happiness and prosperity
