MP Kesineni Sivanath Pays Glorious Tribute to Amarajeevi Potti Sriramulu

Vijayawada: The life of Amarajeevi Potti Sriramulu, who sacrificed his life for the formation of Andhra Pradesh, remains an inspiration for future generations, said Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni). He announced that, to honor this great leader’s ideals and thoughts, he would work towards installing a statue of Potti Sriramulu in the Vijayawada West constituency.

On this occasion, MP Kesineni Sivanath participated in the 125th birth anniversary celebrations of Potti Sriramulu, organized on Sunday at Samarang Chowk Center in Vijayawada West, under the leadership of AP Arya Vaishya Development Corporation Chairman Doondi Rakesh. He paid floral tributes to Potti Sriramulu’s statue, commemorating his sacrifices.

Speaking at the event, MP Kesineni Sivanath stated that the state government officially observes Potti Sriramulu’s birth anniversary and that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is determined to establish a Potti Sriramulu Memorial Park in Amaravati. As part of the modernization efforts in the West constituency, the installation of statues of great leaders is planned, he added.

“Potti Sriramulu was a true patriot who selflessly laid down his life through an indefinite hunger strike for the cause of Telugu people. His life remains a guiding light, and his sacrifice for the self-respect of Telugu people is unparalleled," MP Kesineni Sivanath remarked.

Year-Long Celebrations for Potti Sriramulu’s 125th Birth Anniversary

AP Arya Vaishya Development Corporation Chairman Doondi Rakesh announced that the 125th birth anniversary celebrations of Potti Sriramulu would be conducted across the state throughout the year under the Potti Sriramulu Memorial Trust.

Several dignitaries attended the event, including NTR District Commerce Division President Solanki Raju, Corporator Ummadi Venkateshwarlu (Chanti), Division General Secretary Amara Murali, TDP leaders Shiva Sharma, Nukala Nageswara Rao, Peetabujji, and Santosh Kumar.
