Nara Lokesh Minister for Information Technology, Electronics and Communications and the Human Resources Development departments wishes Christmas Greetings to all
In a spirited address during the Semi-Christmas celebrations at the 6th Battalion of Andhra Pradesh Special Police (APSP) in Mangalagiri on Friday night, Minister Nara Lokesh vowed to restore the state police force to its former glory.
Reflecting on the past, Lokesh noted that the Andhra Pradesh Police were ranked number one in 1995, a status he claimed had been tarnished during the tenure of the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government. “The police system was weaponized for personal vendettas,” he alleged, citing 28 illegal cases that he says were filed against him as an example.
Lokesh emphasized the pivotal role of the 6th Battalion in the state’s capital region and expressed his commitment to addressing the challenges faced by police personnel. “We will resolve the issues plaguing the police and ensure that pending dues from the previous government are cleared without delay,” he assured.
The event began with Lokesh joining key dignitaries, including AP Health Services and Infrastructure Development Corporation Chairman Chillapalli Srinivasa Rao, AP Padmasali Corporation Chairman Nandam Abaddayya, Battalion Commandant Nagesh Babu, and Additional Commandant Ashirvadam, to ceremonially cut the Semi-Christmas cake.
As part of the celebrations, Lokesh was honored with a warm felicitation. Members of the battalion and their families offered special prayers.
