At least 233 passengers have lost their lives and over 900 are severely injured after two passenger trains and one goods train collided with each other near Bahanaga railway station in Odisha's Balasore district on June 2. Several teams of NDRF, and ODRAF are on the spot for the search and rescue operation. Several ambulances are also on spot to handle the situation. Several coaches are reported to have derailed on Friday evening, informed CPRO Southern Railway. Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik will visit Balasore on Saturday morning to take stock of the ground situation after two passenger trains collided with a goods train leaving several injured. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw reaches accident spot in Balasore

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw reached the accident spot in Balasore to review the situation. Meanwhile, Jacob Kispotta, Senior Commandant, NDRF, said at least six teams are working here since last night (Friday). "Our dog squad and medical team are also engaged in the rescue operation," he added.
