In view of the prevailing situation at the India border and as part of enhanced security alertness, and on the instructions of Sri Harish Kumar Gupta, IPS, DGP of Andhra Pradesh, and under the directions and supervision of Sri V Harsh Vardhan Raju, IPS, SP Tirupati, and the CVSO, TTD, an area domination exercise was conducted at Tirumala today from 17:00 to 19:30 hours.
The police force consisting of:
* Civil Police: 20 personnel
* Octopus: 25 personnel
* TTD Vigilance: 20 personnel
* AR and APSP: 38 personnel
* BD Team and Dog Squad: 18 personnel
* Total: 121 personnel
was divided into four teams and conducted area domination, checking, and frisking of strangers and suspicious persons, along with anti-sabotage checks of bags, baggage, and abandoned articles in and around crowded and important areas, specifically:
Team-wise areas checked:
* GNC to CRO, Bus Stand, and Padmavati Area
* Akhilandam to Golla Mandapam, including the four Mada Streets, Hathi Ramji Muth, and up to Ram Bageecha
* Nandakam, Varaha Swamy Rest House area, up to Octopus Circle
* Gokulam area to MBC, Sreevari Mettu reaching point, and SV Guest House Circle
The aforementioned area domination exercise successfully instilled a sense of confidence and security in the minds of the pilgrims at Tirumala.
