Prestigious Shree Hussain Shah Kavi Award to Senior Hindi journalist-writer Lankalpalli Ashok

Senior Hindi journalist-writer Lankalpalli Ashok has been selected for the Shri Hussain Shah Kavi Award for the year 2024. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 50,000, a citation and a memento. The award will be presented jointly to Telugu litterateurs Prof. Dr. Dhulipala Mahadev Mani and Sri Lankalapalli Ashok. For the first time, the award is being given to a Hindi writer-journalist by Dr. Omar Ali Shah Literary Committee (Bhimavaram). 

'Shah Darshan ', a philosophical treatise written in Telugu by Brahmarishi Hussain Shah, was translated into Hindi by Shri Ashok. The award, given since 2001, is considered to be the most prestigious literary award in South India. Many eminent litterateurs and journalists like Dr. Turlapati Kutumbarao, Ravuri Bharadwaja, Acharya Athreya, Acharya Mandali Buddha Prasad, Tanikella Bharani, Vasli Vasanth Kumar, Kalipatnam Rama Rao have been conferred with this literary award so far. The award will be presented by Dr. Omar Ali Shah, the patriarch of the ninth chapter of the Shree Vishwa Vignana Vidya Adhyatmik Peetham, Pithapuram, on Monday, September 9  Editors guild of south India, seniour Journalist and well wishers Congratulate Lankapalli Ashok on the occasion
