Proposal Put Forward to Rename Gannavaram Airport to ‘NTR-Ramoji’ Airport.

Rename Gannavaram Airport as NTR-Ramoji Airport

  • Kindly solve Journalists’ housing crisis

The Editors Guild of South India has proposed renaming of Gannavaram Airport as 'NTR-Ramoji International Airport' in tribute to the late N.T. Rama Rao (NTR) for his pivotal role in establishing the airport and to honour the significant contributions of the late media magnate Ramoji Rao to the nation

In a letter to CM N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday, the President of Editors’ Guild of South India, Deeksha Prasad, also highlighted the pressing concerns of journalists, particularly the lack of housing for those who dedicate their lives to their work, often facing significant risks. Many journalists have tragically lost their lives in the line of duty, leaving their families vulnerable and without security.

Despite previous governmental assurances of providing housing entitlements, these promises have yet to be fulfilled, the letter said. The Editors Guild expressed optimism that under Chief Minister Naidu's capable leadership, these commitments would soon become a reality and urged the government to take necessary steps to address these concerns.
