Amaravati, February 25: CM Chandrababu Naidu reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling manifesto promises despite challenges. Speaking in the Assembly, he released the schedule for implementing the Super-6 schemes and criticised YSRCP's demand for opposition status. He emphasised that the three-party coalition was formed to rebuild Andhra Pradesh and that Swarna Andhra - Vision 2047 is the guiding framework for progress.
Fulfilling Promises with Sincerity
The Chief Minister said that the NDA government has already implemented major welfare initiatives. Pensions were increased from ₹3,000 to ₹4,000, with disabled individuals receiving ₹6,000, dialysis patients ₹10,000, and bedridden individuals ₹15,000. Pension disbursement on the 1st of every month ensures financial stability. Anna Canteens have been revived, and the Deepam scheme is providing three free gas cylinders. DSC recruitment will fill 16,354 teacher vacancies, and Talliki Vandana will launch in May, he added. Farmers and fishermen will receive financial assistance, reinforcing the government’s commitment to welfare, CM said.
Opposition Status Demand Unjustified
Chandrababu Naidu condemned YSRCP’s refusal to attend Assembly sessions without opposition status. He recalled past dignified Assembly proceedings and criticized YSRCP MLAs for attending only briefly before walking out. Opposition status is determined by the people, not the ruling government.
Targeting 15% Growth Rate
CM Naidu underlined the need for wealth creation, aiming for a 15% growth rate and a $42,000 per capita income by 2047. “Andhra Pradesh must generate revenue for welfare and infrastructure rather than rely on unsustainable borrowing,” he observed. He reaffirmed his commitment to making Andhra Pradesh a top-performing state under PM Modi’s leadership.
Empowerment and Welfare
He said that the government is implementing 10% reservations for Vadderas in quarries and liquor shops for toddy tappers. GST has been removed on handloom products, and financial aid has been increased for weavers. “Temple priest salaries have risen, and honorariums for Imams and Muazzams have been set at ₹15,000. The administration is committed to protecting religious institutions and ensuring strict action against desecration,” CM announced.
Housing and Economic Development
Elaborating on housing schemes he said that the aim is to provide land and homes for all within five years, with 5 lakh houses set for completion by June 12. The P4 program, launching on Ugadi, focuses on wealth creation and poverty eradication. Government projects worth ₹10,000 crore are being implemented to boost economic growth.
Employment and Job Opportunities
The government is creating 2 million jobs, with MoUs worth ₹6.5 lakh crore signed. Google and TCS are investing in Visakhapatnam, and ₹2 lakh crore green energy projects are underway. Government job vacancies will be filled regularly, and work-from-home opportunities will expand. ₹3,000 unemployment allowance will be provided to jobless youth.
Education and Healthcare
Chief Minister told the Assembly that fee reimbursements of ₹788 crore have been cleared, and pending dues of ₹6,500 crore in education are being addressed. The “Dokka Seethamma” mid-day meal program and the “Sarvepalli Radhakrishna Vidya Mitra” scheme are improving student welfare. Digital health cards and the NTR medical service are enhancing healthcare, with health insurance covering ₹2.5 lakh to ₹25 lakh per individual.
Water and Irrigation
He reiterated that Polavaram will be completed by December 2027, with ₹12,150 crore allocated. Uttarandhra Sujala Sravanthi and irrigation projects will ensure water security. Paddy farmers have received ₹7,522 crore in payments within 24 hours of procurement. Road development and railway expansion are underway, with ₹55,000 crore for highways and ₹75,000 crore for rail projects.
Technology, Law, and Order
“Andhra Pradesh is embracing AI and WhatsApp governance for improved citizen services. A strict crackdown on drugs and crime is in place. Land records are being cleansed, and sand is now provided for free with a QR code system” Chandrababu Naidu said.
Economic Revival and Vision for the Future
“The NDA government has revived Andhra Pradesh’s economy after five years of mismanagement. Amaravati is being developed, Polavaram is back on track, and key infrastructure projects are moving forward. Andhra Pradesh aims to be a global leader by 2047 under PM Modi’s vision,” he pointed out.
