NIA raids and seals PFI office in Telangana

Staff Reporter

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) seized and shut the Popular Front of India (PFI) office in Hyderabad, Telangana.

The development is a result of the NIA and ED's widespread campaign against PFI members.

NIA personnel arrived at the PFI office in the Chandrayanagutta neighbourhood of the capital city and searched the space.

According to reports, during the operations, documents, pen drives, and computer hard drives were taken.

The NIA officers later sealed the office.

The NIA is undertaking operations in areas of the city other than Chandrayanagutta, including LB Nagar and Autonagar.

Raids were also carried out in Karimnagar city.

The NIA is searching for potential PFI members in addition to asking about former PFI members. In eleven states across the nation, this morning, the NIA and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) together raided PFI offices and members' houses. Only a few days have passed since the NIA conducted search operations in Telangana before beginning its activities there.
