    Jagananna Aarogya Suraksha programme launched in Vijayawada

    Vijayawada: Friday witnessed the launch of Jagananna Aarogya Suraksha (JAS) programme at the primary health centre in 46th Division of Vijayawada on Friday. Those present included MLAs Velampalli Srinivasa Rao and Malladi Vishnu, city mayor Rayana Bhagyalakshmi and Vijayawada municipal commissioner Swapnil Dinakar Pundkar.

    They jointly released a poster of JAS, which is being undertaken by the state government aimed to ensure good health of people.

    MLA Srinivas Rao said from Friday onwards, volunteers and health secretaries will visit every house in their ward and identify health problems of the people, collect their details and enter them into the Jagananna Arogya Suraksha app.

    Those with issues will be informed about the tests they will have to undergo free of cost at the JAS health camps starting from September 30. The MLA asked people to make good use of the programme by getting treated under the Jagananna Arogya Suraksha programme.

    MLA Malladi Vishnu said JAS is the first of its kind health programme offering free diagnosis and treatment over a period of one month starting from September 30.

    Vijayawada mayor Bhagyalakshmi said asked people to provide their health details to the secretaries and volunteers who will visit their homes, so that they can get treated for free.

    Vijayawada East constituency in-charge Devineni Avinash, sub-collector Adithi Singh and deputy mayor Bellam Durga were among those who participated in the campaign on Friday
