*Festive atmosphere in villages with pension distribution*
*The previous government looted pensions in the name of the differently abled.*
*They cheated even in Amma Vodi; in our government, we honour every mother regardless of how many children she has*
*They created obstacles to the mega DSC recruitment*
*We will fill teacher posts within a month*
*Anyone selling drugs or ganja will face action… What should we say about those who sympathize with the ganja gang?*
*We are compelled to fight political criminals for the sake of the people*
*We will organise the Godavari Pushkaralu like never before… I am fortunate to oversee them for the third time— Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu
Chief Minister participates in 'Pedala Sevalo' programme in Malakapalli, Kovvur Constituency
Kovvur, July 1,2025:Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said that villages are filled with joy and vibrance as pensions are being distributed promptly on the 1st of every month. He criticised the previous government for looting pensions in the name of the differently abled. Even Amma Vodi was misused, he said, whereas now, in the people's government, every mother receives respect and support, regardless of how many children she has.
The Chief Minister participated in the 'Service to the Poor' program in Malakapalli, Kovvur constituency. He visited the home of Sanamandra Posh Babu and handed over a pension for leather workers. He also interacted with Posh Babu’s family and listened to their concerns. Later, he went to the home of beneficiary Geddam Krishnadurga and handed over a widow pension. Following this, he addressed the public gathering at Praja Vedika.
*Our government is giving higher pensions*
“In the past, even employees didn't receive their salaries properly, and retired workers didn’t get their pensions. But since our government came to power, we’ve ensured pensions are distributed on the 1st of every month. We increased pensions from Rs. 200 to Rs. 2,000 and fulfilled our election promise by raising them to Rs. 4,000. For dialysis patients, we are giving Rs. 10,000; for bedridden individuals, Rs. 15,000 — showing compassion in governance. Just as employees receive salaries on the 1st, we are giving pensions with the same consistency. You saw what the previous government did — big promises, no delivery. Even major states don’t provide pensions on this scale. We are spending Rs. 2,750 crore every month on pensions. Telangana is spending Rs. 8,000 crore annually, Kerala only Rs. 7,200 crore,” he explained.
*No misuse of public money under the guise of politics*
“In the previous regime, pensions were given even to those who weren’t eligible. The government functioned anarchically for five years. I will be strict with those who misuse public money under political cover. There is no room for fraud in this people's government. I commend the officials who worked tirelessly to deliver pensions in the past year. I instructed that pensions be given with a smile and a spirit of service. We are discharging a sacred duty. As soon as a pension is disbursed, a message is sent through the app specifying the amount received. Earlier, if a husband passed away, widows didn’t get pensions. Now, it’s automated. We’ve also enabled a provision for collecting three months’ pension at once. Around 1,20,461 people haven’t taken pensions in two months — that could save the government Rs. 98.19 crore, but we never had such intentions,” he said.
*Unprecedented Godavari Pushkaralu*
“YCP leaders obstructed the mega DSC, but still we will fill teacher posts within a month. Anyone caught selling drugs or ganja will be punished. What to say of those who console ganja gangs? To protect the people, we are forced to engage with political criminals. I’ve overseen the Godavari Pushkaralu during united Andhra and also in bifurcated Andhra. This time, we will conduct them like never before. As my friend Pawan Kalyan and I promised, we are rebuilding the state, turning destruction into development. We’ve completed one year in office and taken the first step towards good governance. Being Chief Minister isn’t new to me — I’ve served for 9 years earlier and 10 years as opposition leader. But the destruction of the last five years is unprecedented in my life. Systems collapsed, the economy was ruined, departments didn’t function. It took me a year just to study the damage. Through 204 canteens, we’re giving quality food to the poor. Under the Deepam scheme, we’re giving three free gas cylinders. Through ‘Ondari Vandanam,’ we’ve deposited Rs. 10,000 crore into mothers’ accounts. We’ll deposit the benefit for students from Classes 1 to 11 immediately after admissions,” he said.
*We’ve stood by the farmers*
“We are providing timely irrigation water without problems. We are supplying seeds and fertilizers. Unlike the previous government, we enabled farmers to sell their paddy at nearby rice mills. Input subsidies are being credited directly to farmers’ accounts. This month, once the Centre transfers funds under Annadata Sukhibhava, the state will add its share too. From August 15, we will offer free bus travel for girls. Through ‘Yogandhra,’ we achieved 2 Guinness Records and 21 World Book records. The Prime Minister praised our yoga event. If anyone harms a girl, that will be their last day. We will install CCTV cameras across the state. We won’t spare anyone. We will not tolerate rowdyism. While we’re working for development, some are trying to sabotage it like demons.”
*Unemployment allowance soon*
“The Centre is extending full cooperation for state development. It gave Rs. 15,000 crore for Amaravati and Rs. 11,400 crore for Vizag Steel Plant. We’ve signed MoUs worth Rs. 9.5 lakh crore in investments, expected to create 8.5 lakh jobs. Already, work has begun on projects worth Rs. 5 lakh crore, generating 4.5 lakh jobs. In just one year, we attracted more investment than in the previous ten years. We will soon roll out unemployment allowance. You’ve seen how the previous government ruined Polavaram — they didn’t complete the cofferdam even though we completed the diaphragm wall. Now it’s my responsibility to finish Polavaram by 2027 and dedicate it to the nation. No other project in India can handle 50 lakh cusecs of flood water. It must be protected. We’ll complete the diaphragm wall by December. They completed 4% work in 5 years; we’ve done 6% in one year.”
*Rowdies in politics*
“Earlier, rowdies weren’t in politics — now they’re entering directly and becoming leaders. We won’t spare anyone who breaks the law. I suspended officials who failed to provide proper food to students in the Payakaraopeta Social Welfare Hostel. I think through every step. I was misled in the Viveka murder case — when Sakshi TV scrolled that he died of a heart attack, I believed it like everyone else. But the room was full of blood, it was cleaned, new bedsheets laid, stitches done, and they prepared for final rites. Only when his daughter demanded a postmortem did it come out that he was axed to death, not a heart attack. Sakshi paper put a knife in my hand and called me a demon. Even as CM, I was helpless. Had they arrested the culprits that day, the state would've been better off. For five years, they kept me confined. They locked my house. They sent me back from Visakhapatnam. They welcomed rowdy-sheeters in Tenali. They refused to listen when we asked not to hold meetings in narrow lanes. A man was run over by a car and dragged aside. We now have full proof that Jagan’s car ran over Singayya. Who am I dealing with politically? I have never laid a hand on anyone in my life. Yet, for the people’s sake, I’m forced to fight criminals in politics. We check seven generations before arranging a marriage — should people vote blindly when choosing a leader? People must think,” he urged.
*Kovvur’s development is my responsibility*
“On one side is Godavari, on the other Kadiyam, and nearby the beautiful Papikondalu hills — this area has great tourism potential. We are focusing on tourism development. All lift irrigation works in the district will be completed. A degree college will be built in Kovvur. The local government hospital will be upgraded to a 150-bed capacity. We will build 100–150 bed hospitals in every constituency in the state.”
*P4 mission to eradicate poverty*
“To achieve a poverty-free society, we’ve launched the P4 initiative. I was born into a humble family too. By God’s grace, I rose step by step. So did Ambedkar, Narendra Modi, NTR, and Pawan Kalyan — all from ordinary families. The King of Baroda helped Ambedkar study, giving him 12 dollars a month to study in London. He used that opportunity and wrote the Constitution. Everyone rose because of society’s support. The top 10% economically must support the bottom 20%. Bill Gates donated 99% of his wealth to society. Vedanta Group is giving 75% of its profits back to society.”
*Moolaparthi Navyasri said...*
"My parents are daily wage workers. We are three daughters, one of whom is differently-abled. I completed my degree but had to drop out of higher studies due to financial difficulties. I am now working as a teacher. We even took a loan to educate my younger sister. CM Chandrababu Naidu granted us a pension..."
