Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has called for strengthening the education system in government schools"I want radical changes in the academic sector with the aim of achieving good results. The government is spending `32,000 crore annually on education and the results should be spectacular." Educational experts, intellectuals and prominent personalities in the academic field would be consulted for upgrading the school syllabus. Focus should also be laid on providing basic amenities to all schools, he said.

By following result-oriented methods and ensuring quality in all respects. Naidu was conducting a review meeting on education on Tuesday, in which minister Nara Lokesh and higher officials participated. “Extending value-based quality education is the basic objective of the AP Government,” he said and directed officials to upgrade the syllabus to match it with future needs.

Develop government schools to enable them to compete with private educational institutions. Education is the fundamental right of every individual. All children of school-going age should be sent to school,” he said. The chief minister said the Pratibha Awards and parent-teacher meetings should resume. Those ready to help in development of the schools under the Janmabhoomi programme would be encouraged.
Naidu said, "I want enrolment to be 100 per cent and proper monitoring should be done up to graduation level. Every student should be issued identity cards under the provisions of the Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) of the central government." He directed the officials to study GO 117 and submit a report after necessary discussions with academic experts and teachers. Officials explained to the Chief Minister in detail the reforms and the new policies introduced in the academic sector by education minister Nara Lokesh. “The 'one teacher for one class' system is being implemented and we have brought down the app usage burden on the teachers," they said.
The state has 44,570 government schools and 813 aided schools. About 5,530 schools have only less than 10 students while 8,072 schools have less than 20 students, officials noted. The Chief Minister also conducted a review meeting on Skill Development. Officials gave a presentation on the skill census the state has taken up recently. Naidu told them to do consultations with industrialists in this respect.
