Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis arrived at the Tirupati Temple to seek blessings on the inauguration day of the World’s Biggest International Temples Convention & Expo (ITCX) 2025. The grand event, often referred to as the "Mahakumbh of Temples," brings together religious leaders, scholars, and temple administrators from across the world for a collaborative exchange of knowledge and best practices.

During a media interaction at the temple, Fadnavis lauded the significance of ITCX, and shared, "The International Temples Convention & Expo (ITCX) being held in Tirupati is a beautiful concept that connects temples worldwide and brings them on one platform for knowledge sharing and collaborative learning. We have the example of Tirupati temple which has the best run practices." He also acknowledged the Tirupati Temple as a model for efficient temple management, citing its best-run practices as an example for others to follow.

A grand gathering of temples from across the world

As the chief guest of honour at ITCX 2025, Fadnavis joined a congregation of temple representatives from across the globe. The second edition of the convention has attracted delegates from 1,581 temples across 17 countries, while an additional 685 temples from 58 other countries are participating in a hybrid format.

With a lineup of over 111 speakers, 15 workshops, and 60+ exhibition stalls, the three-day event is set to facilitate meaningful discussions on temple administration, preservation of heritage, and modern technological advancements in temple management.

Several prominent figures, including political leaders and religious scholars, are expected to attend the convention.

The International Temples Convention & Expo 2025 aims to strengthen ties between temples worldwide, ensuring that knowledge-sharing and collaborative efforts continue to enrich the spiritual and cultural fabric of societies across the globe.

    Tirupati, the holy destination

Tirupati, located in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, is one of the most revered pilgrimage destinations in the world. Home to the iconic Sri Venkateswara Temple atop the Tirumala Hills, the city attracts millions of devotees each year, making it one of the busiest religious sites globally. The temple, dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, is renowned for its spiritual significance, grand rituals, and architectural splendor.
