Kuppam, July 2: In a significant boost to the development of Kuppam constituency, the Kuppam Area Development Authority has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with four companies for various development and skill training initiatives, amounting to a total investment of ₹1,617 crore. These agreements were finalized in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
A key agreement was signed with Hindalco Jan Seva Trust to establish a Skill Development Centre in Kuppam aimed at training local youth. Over the next three years, the trust will train 1,000 young individuals, while also supporting employment for 750 families. Additionally, Hindalco will adopt 50 goldsmith families under its development initiatives. The training programs will focus on trades such as electricians, fitters, and the manufacturing sector. Existing workers in these sectors will also receive reskilling support.
An MoU was signed with Eroyce Motors Pvt. Ltd. for setting up a manufacturing unit for e-autos, e-bikes, and e-sweeping electric machines at an investment of ₹200 crore, which is expected to create employment for 410 people. The company will also provide 130 electric autos for door-to-door waste collection within the Kuppam constituency.
To boost the dairy sector, Ace International has partnered with the Development Authority to establish an integrated dairy and nutrition complex at an investment of ₹525 crore. This facility, with a capacity to process 7.5 lakh litres of milk per day, will directly and indirectly employ 7,000 people and benefit local dairy farmers through logistical and procurement support.
Further, SVF Soya Pvt. Ltd. has committed an investment of ₹372.8 crore to set up a processing unit that will benefit over 2 lakh farmers. The project is expected to generate direct and indirect employment for around 3,000 individuals.
All three companies aim to commence production by December 2026.
In addition, SPDCL has signed an MoU to expedite the rollout of a solar rooftop project across Kuppam, enhancing the region’s renewable energy capabilities.
As part of the Brand Kuppam promotional campaign, a unique and locally sourced gift hamper has been curated by a women entrepreneur from the region. The hamper includes honey, jasmine and rose tea, Kuppam granite, cow ghee, bath powder, millet cookies, and soap nuts, all sourced from Kuppam. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu personally reviewed the gift hamper and commended the initiative.
