₹1 crore insurance for municipal workers
Garbage‑free municipalities by October 2
No confusion over pensions for the differently‑abled, every eligible person will get them
– CM Chandrababu Naidu at the SwarnAndhra SwachhAndhra Sabha
CM exposes conspiracies of YCP at the Sabha
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said that the coalition government considers it its responsibility to ensure the welfare of municipal workers, who risk their own health to safeguard public health. He announced that through new wage accounts, 55,686 workers across the state will receive additional benefits.
Families of regular workers who lose their lives in accidents will receive ₹1 crore as insurance, while outsourced workers’ families will get ₹20 lakh each. In cases of permanent disability, the same amount will be ensured. He also announced education support up to ₹8 lakh for their children.
The Chief Minister participated in the SwarnAndhra-SwachhAndhra initiative at Peddapuram in Kakinada district. On this occasion, he joined a cleanliness rally with medical students and local residents, followed by a public meeting where he addressed the gathering.
Cleanliness is our collective responsibility
The Chief Minister said that ensuring clean surroundings is the responsibility of every individual. Speaking at the public meeting, he said, “The previous government imposed a garbage tax but did nothing to remove garbage. They buried the state under 85 lakh metric tonnes of waste. By October 2, we will clear 100% of garbage from all municipalities. Villages and towns must be clean. Even in East Godavari, known for its good-hearted people, they promoted rowdyism over the last five years. We are turning waste into wealth by producing compost and tightening regulation of plastics.”
YCP Creating Obstacles to Development
The Chief Minister expressed strong anger that YCP thrives on false propaganda. He listed the poisonous conspiracies of the past decade, saying, “When we work for people, YCP spreads venom. For five years, they unleashed lawlessness, yet they blame us. We are moving ahead with welfare, good governance, and development as promised. Brick by brick, step by step, we are rebuilding the state. Yet when we bring investments from India and abroad, YCP obstructs every step for political gain.”
He then detailed 10 major conspiracies of YCP, highlighting them as case studies in criminal politics:
1. Viveka murder case: “The murder of a family member turned into a case study of criminal politics. Did they not exploit it for electoral gains?”
2. Kodi Kathi drama: “While in Opposition, they staged the ‘knife attack’ drama. After coming to power, they buried the case.”
3. Stone drama: “As CM, he staged an attempt on his life with a stone, only to gain sympathy in elections.”
4. Polavaram diaphragm wall collapse: “Due to incompetence, negligence, and arrogance, the wall collapsed, yet they blamed us.”
5. Pensions stopped: “During 2024 elections, they forced elderly people to wander in the scorching sun by stopping pensions, costing 16 lives. Through their media, they falsely blamed me.”
6. Singayya’s death: “Even after the 2024 verdict, their criminal politics continued. A worker named Singayya was run over by their vehicle during a rally. They hid it until the video emerged, then tried to frame us by coaching his widow to accuse us. This shows their criminal nature.”
7. Video morphing: “They deceived people by showing mixed-up visuals to create fake crowds.”
8. ‘Amaravati drowned’ propaganda: “They always spewed venom on Amaravati, claiming it had drowned. But the truth is, Amaravati did not drown, YCP drowned in its own propaganda.”
9. Letters against investments: “When in power, they drove companies out of the state. Now in Opposition, they write letters to block investments.”
10. False pension propaganda: “They gave pensions to ineligible party workers. Now, when verification is happening, they falsely claim 4 lakh pensions were cancelled. Not a single eligible pension has been removed. Only fraudulent ones will be struck off.”
YCP is like the “BommalI Ghost”
The CM invoked the film Arundhati, asking the audience if they remembered the “BommalI ghost.” When people responded, he handed them the mic and let them chant “Vadala BommalI… Vadala.” He then said, “Just like that ghost, YCP has returned with lies and venom. Only when this ghost is buried completely will Andhra Pradesh have a future. Just as families carefully check seven generations before a marriage alliance, voters must think carefully before casting their vote.”
Our politics is guided by vision, theirs is driven by crime
The CM lashed out at YCP’s style, “Everything YCP does is cheap politics. Our politics is development, theirs is destruction. Ours is welfare, theirs is crisis. Ours is vision, theirs is criminality. Their only job is to post lies on social media and amplify them through Sakshi and their blue media. Such poisonous parties are not needed. I have fought Naxalism and factionalism. I will not allow such criminal politics to survive.”
Public health and seasonal diseases
The CM noted that stagnant water leads to mosquito breeding and diseases like dengue, malaria, and chikungunya. He said, “During 2014-19, when I declared a war on mosquitoes, they mocked me. The previous regime totally neglected public health, not even bleaching powder was sprinkled. Welfare without wealth creation is unsustainable. Only wealth creation enables welfare. We promised the Super Six, and delivered. With BJP and Jana Sena, we are leading both reconstruction and development.”
He also recalled welfare initiatives launched:
Aug 1: NTR Bharosa pensions launched for 63 lakh beneficiaries every month.
Aug 2: Under Annadatha Sukhibhava, ₹7,000 credited in first phase.
Aug 7: Under free power, ensured 500 units for powerloom weavers and 200 units for handloom weavers.
Nethanna Bharosa: ₹25,000 annually per handloom family.
Nayi Brahmins: 200 units free power for salons.
Stree Shakti a Massive Hit
The CM noted that August 15 marked the launch of the Stree Shakti scheme, which provides free bus travel for women across Andhra Pradesh. “Some mocked it initially, but we made it happen. Over 1 crore women have already used the free bus service,” he said.
CM also mentioned the field-level implementation of the P4 initiative from August 19, followed by the launch of the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub on August 21. “Our ultimate goal is a poverty-free society. We are working to ensure no one in Andhra Pradesh ever has to experience poverty again,” the Chief Minister said.
100-bed hospital and infrastructure boost for Peddapuram
The CM praised MLA Nimmakayala Chinarajappa and said, “Whatever he requests for his constituency, I will not only fulfill it but do even more.” He announced:
* ₹75 crore for tap water supply in every household in Peddapuram and Samarlakota under the AMRUT scheme, to be completed in two years.
* A new 100-bed hospital in Peddapuram.
* A degree college in Peddapuram.
* A 15 MW waste-to-energy plant worth ₹330 crore, to be completed in 18 months.
The event was attended by Minister Narayana, Kakinada MP Uday, MLA Nimmakayala Chinarajappa, SwachhAndhra Corporation Chairman Pattabhi, and senior officials from the Municipal and SwachhAndhra departments.
