CM Chandrababu Offers Support to Families of Tirupati Stampede Victims
₹25 Lakhs Compensation, Job for One Family Member
Tirupati, January 9: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced key measures in response to the Tirupati stampede tragedy. Each victim's family will receive ₹25 lakhs as compensation, along with a contractual job for one family member.
For the injured, two critically injured individuals will receive ₹5 lakhs each, while ₹2 lakhs will be given to the other 33 injured. The CM also announced special Vaikunta Darshan for all 35 individuals undergoing treatment in the hospital tomorrow.
Government Actions:
The state government has taken decisive steps regarding the incident:
DSP Ramanakumar and Goshala Director Harinath Reddy have been suspended.
Tirupati SP Subbarao, JEO Gauthami, and CSO Sridhar have been transferred.
A judicial inquiry has been ordered into the incident.
