Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is initiating the formation of a task force for economic development, which will be co-chaired by Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran. The task force aims to drive growth in various sectors, including IT, aviation, and manufacturing. Naidu also proposed establishing a TCS development centre in Visakhapatnam (Vizag) and enhancing air connectivity in collaboration with Tata Group’s airlines, Air India and Vistara.
During discussions held in Amaravati, Chief Minister Naidu met with N Chandrasekaran on 16 August to explore the possibilities of setting up the TCS development centre in Vizag. The talks also focused on increasing air connectivity to boost the state’s infrastructure and connectivity.
In a post on social media platform X, Naidu expressed his optimism about the collaboration, stating, "I had a great meeting with my old friend, the Chairman of Tata Sons, Mr. Natarajan Chandrasekaran in Amaravati today." He further announced that Andhra Pradesh is establishing a Task Force for Economic Development, which will include intellectuals and industry leaders as members.
In addition to these initiatives, Tata Group will collaborate with the Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) Centre for Global Leadership on Competitiveness (GLC) in Amaravati. This partnership aims to enhance the state's competitiveness on a global scale.
