Stating this on Saturday, special chief secretary (Health) M.T. Krishna Babu said Ramatheertham PHC in Nellore district got the NQAS certificate for scoring 83.24 per cent marks, followed by Yellavaram PHC in Alluri Sitaramaraju district, V.M. Cheruvu PHC in Satya Sai district and Peddamandyam PHC in Annamayya district.

The Kendrika UPHC in the NTR district scored 88.2 per cent marks to get NQAS certification.

Krishna Babu said these health centres had met rigorous criteria and demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare service to the community.

Recently, Indira Nagar UPHC at Mangalagiri in Guntur district got 96.2 per cent marks and became the first health centre in Andhra Pradesh to get the NQAS certification.

NQAS certification is given to PHCs and UPHCs in recognition of their excellence in healthcare delivery, patient safety and continuous quality improvement. It signifies the commitment of these centres towards providing accessible, equitable and high-quality healthcare services to the community.
