AMARAVATI: Amaravati is unstoppable with the passing of a bill on Amaravati capital in Parliament, observed Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu by describing it as a victory of five crore people for peoples capital Amaravati.
Celebrating the occasion by distributing sweets at his camp office today and later speaking to media persons, the Chief Minister said all the Fifty parties extended support to Amaravati capital bill aimed at providing legal status to Amaravati capital except YSR Congress party. He expressed surprise over opposing the bill by YCP MPs who got elected from Andhra Pradesh itself and failed to protect and honour the interests and sentiments of people.
The Chief Minister thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and MPs of all parties including Loke Sabha Speaker and Rajya Sabha chairman for extending support to Amaravati.
The Chief Minister said while entire country extended support to Amaravati in passing of a bill in Parliament, the YCP started opposing Amaravati from the beginning and hatched conspiracies to prevent development of Amaravati as state capital in the name of three capitals. Still their efforts to create hurdles for Amaravati are going on. He made it clear that no one can stop development of Amaravati and major works will be completed by 2028 and Prime Minister Narendra Modi who laid foundation for Amaravati, again visited AP for second time for restarting works of Amaravati will inaugurate major projects of Amaravati capital in 2029.
The Chief Minister said that the state governments ruled by regional parties should honour the bills passed in Parliament and expressed surprise over the remarks of YCP leaders on changing of capital if they (YCP) comes to power. He said that the previous government failed to raise the issue of state bifrucation issues and pushed the state into huge debt trap by mortguaging government properties during its five years regime.
The Chief Minister said after the coalition government came to power despite of financial consstraints focusing more on development and welfare balancing each other with short term, mid term and long term planning.
The Chief Minister asserted that with the improvement of infrastructure, development will be possible and expressed hope that by 2047 the state will achieve 2.4 trillion dollars economy and Amaravati capital will serve as a growth engine towards that direction.
