NTR Trust making efforts to improve living standards of people: Bhuvaneswari
LONDON: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that both the administration and industrialists have collective responsibility to build a right platform for future generations. The Institute of Directors, London presented Distinguished fellowship 2025 award to Nara Bhuvaneswari, wife of Chandrababu Naidu in recognition of her services in sociological issues. She also received Golden Peacock award for excellence in corporate governance for Heritage foods.
Delivering key note address on this occasion, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressing happiness over Bhuvaneswari receiving two awards stated that the ties between UK and India strengthening. He said the agreement between the two countries in July paved way for trade cooperation between two countries. He said that the vision of government as well as different organizations should be changed according to global demands. He opined that prior planning is essential to face the challenges posed by emerging technology. As Artificial Intelligence playing a key role Andhra Pradesh also planning accordingly. Google company is going to set up AI data centre in Visakhapatnam which will lead to innovation, research and skill development.
The Chief Minister observed that technology should benefit people by improving their living standards. Citing the example of recent Montha cyclone, the Chief Minister said with technology-driven planning and real time monitoring, the state government is able to prevent loss of life and property during the cyclone. He stressed the need of speed of doing business and as a result Andhra Pradesh attracted huge investments in one year period. He said Amaravati will be developed as blue and green city. Stating that climate change is biggest challenge for the world, he said that all countries should come together to protect climate and to protect the interests of future generations.
The Chief Minister congratulated those who received awards including Nara Bhuvaneswari, Dr Krishnaprasad Chigurupati, Prof Peter Bonfield and Harshbina Jhaveri.
After receiving the Distringuished Fellowship award and Golden Peacock award, Nara Bhuvaneswari, Managing Trustee of NTR Trust addressing the programme, stated that the NTR Trust has been organizing free health clinics, mobile health camps in the name of Sanjeevani and supplying safe drinking water. She said by giving training the trust has been working towards women empowerment. Besides the trust has been rendering service to people during natural calamities in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. She said efforts are on to improve living standards of people. She said that the NTR trust has been serving people of all sections and making efforts to provide a respectable position for them in the society.
