AMARAVATI:The NDA government’s top priority is maintaining law and order in the state and there will be no compromise on protecting law and order, made it clear Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. The Chief Minister participated as chief guest for handing over appointment letters to 5,757 newly recruited police constables at APSP Sixth battalion, Mangalagiri today along with Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Home Minister Vangalapudi Anita and Director General of Police Harishkumar Gupta.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said as per the election manifesto the NDA government giving top priority for employment and filled 15,591 teacher posts through Mega DSC and now 5,757 police constable posts. He said the state government provided employment to around four lakh youth in all departments. He said visible policing and invisible police is important and the police should use technology to prevent crime and curb rowdyism. He expressed happiness for 183 tribal women getting appointment as police constables. He said police should be more alert as some people are resorting to crimes in the guise of politicians. Stating that the crime rate came down during the 18 months of NDA rule, the Chief Minister gave strong warning to curb rowdyism and stern action against those resort to crime against women. He said special task force was set up to curb ganja menace.
The Chief Minister said that police should be more alert and focus more on prevention of crime using technology and stressed the need for indepth investigation using CC TV footage . Stating that there is no crompromise in maintaining law and order in the state, the Chief Minister made it clear that the government will not spare any own who resort to crime and rowdyism and take action irrespective of their political affiliations. He announced increase in stipend of Trainee constables from existing Rs 4500 to Rs 12,500.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said that 6,100 candidates got selected as constable while four lakh people applied for the posts and 5,757 candidates received appointment letters today. He sanctioned a road to the Tenumalabanda village of ASR district over the request of one of newly appointed constable Lekke Babu Rao.
Speaking on the occasion Minister for Home Vangalapudi Anita said that the credit of constables recruitment goes to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. She said that the chief minister made efforts to fulfill long pending dreams of constable aspirants.
Earlier Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister congratulated the newly appointed constables who attended the programme along with their parents.
