State Information and Public Relations and Housing Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy has said that the Chintalapudi lift irrigation project will be completed soon and the farmers of Nuzvid will see happiness in their eyes. The Minister went door-to-door and handed over the NTR Bharosa pensions at Katrenipadu village in Musunuru mandal on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion at a function organised at MPP School here, Parthasarathy said that the previous government had ruined the state with its negligent attitude towards irrigation projects. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has decided to complete five major irrigation projects that were neglected by the previous government, including the Chintalapudi lift irrigation project. The Minister said that the work on Chintalapudi Lift Irrigation Scheme is being resumed from today itself and since there are already canals related to Nagarjunasagar in Nuzvid area,
The Chintalapudi Lift Irrigation Scheme will soon provide irrigation water and provide a permanent solution to the irrigation problem of the farmers of Nuzvid area. He said that during the previous government, big companies like Ashok Leyland had set up their industries in Mallavalli, but due to the negligence of the previous government, they left the state. The Minister said that with the initiative of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, industries have again agreed to set up in Mallavalli, which will provide more employment opportunities to the youth of the region. The aim of the government is to fulfil the aspirations of the people. He said that in the last five years, there has been no development in the state due to autocratic rule and this is a proof of irresponsible governance.
He said that the previous government did not pay the bills of those who had sanctioned houses to the poor in the past, and also did not complete the construction of houses that were in the initial stage for some people. When the issue was brought to the notice of the Chief Minister, he promised payment of house bills and sanction of new houses to those whose houses were in the initial stage of construction.
The Minister said that NTR Bharosa pensions have been increased from three thousand to four thousand, and every eligible person will be identified and provided a pension soon. NTR Bharosa pensions for the elderly and the poor. People’s problems will be solved shortly. The Minister said that as soon as they assumed power in the state, they announced a mega DSC with 16,700 posts, provided training in skill development to improve job opportunities for unemployed youth, and Anna Canteens are being started from August 15. The problem of drainage roads in the Musunuru mandal will be solved within two months.
On the occasion, the Minister advised the officials to immediately solve the problems of electricity wires in oil palm plantations and the electricity bills of the villagers.
