Aagiripalli, April 11, 2025: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu reiterated that only the alliance government can ensure true good governance in Andhra Pradesh. Speaking at a public meeting organised on the occasion of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jayanti in Vadlamanu, Aagiripalli Mandal, Eluru district, the CM declared his resolve to honour the trust reposed in him by the people and continue welfare-oriented administration inspired by Phule’s ideals.
Alliance Government Committed to Good Governance
CM Naidu stated that governance based on public welfare, transparency, and accountability can only be delivered by the alliance government. He affirmed that the promises made to the people are being honoured and said he considers himself the eldest son in every household, ensuring their well-being.
Phule’s Legacy as an Inspiration for Welfare Policies
Describing Phule as a timeless icon, Chandrababu Naidu highlighted his pioneering efforts in women’s education, social justice, and the empowerment of marginalised communities. “Even after 198 years, we continue to celebrate Phule Jayanti—that speaks volumes about his enduring influence,” the CM said.
TDP is the True Guardian of BC Welfare
The Chief Minister praised former CM N.T. Rama Rao for championing BC welfare and establishing institutions like the women’s university. He asserted that the TDP remains the only party that has consistently safeguarded the rights and dignity of BC communities and is committed to their continued upliftment.
Exclusive BC Protection Law to Be Introduced
Just as SCs and STs have legal protection under the Atrocities Act, the government plans to introduce a special protection law for BCs. A sub-committee has been formed, and the proposed law will be drafted based on its recommendations.
Extensive Schemes to Empower BC Communities
CM Chandrababu Naidu listed a range of schemes aimed at BC development, including:
• Nayee Brahmin and MBC Federations
• Residential schools for BC and fishermen’s children
• ₹15 lakh financial aid for overseas education
• Coaching for competitive exams and DSC
• BC study circles and revival of Adarana-3
Special Focus on Reviving Traditional Occupations
To support BC livelihoods, the government is introducing targeted interventions. These include liquor shop allocations for toddy tappers, free electricity for weavers, solar rooftop subsidies (₹80,000–₹98,000), and increased honorariums for Nayee Brahmins in temples.
Anna Canteens and Women Entrepreneurship Push
To eliminate hunger, new Anna Canteens will be established in areas like Aagiripalli. The Chief Minister also emphasised support for DWCRA women, aiming to turn one lakh women into entrepreneurs. Under Deepam 2, three free LPG cylinders will be provided annually to each household.
Fast-Tracking Chintalapudi Lift Irrigation Project
CM Chandrababu Naidu promised a swift resolution of legal hurdles affecting the Chintalapudi Lift Irrigation Project. He pledged full support to Minister Parthasarathi in developing Nuzvid and suggested that population trends must be addressed by encouraging families to have at least two children.
Stern Warning Against Misuse of Social Media
The Chief Minister warned against the misuse of social media platforms for character assassination and fake news. He recalled being misled initially in the Vivekananda Reddy case and stated that those spreading misinformation or defaming others would face strict consequences under his administration.
