NDA can win elections at any time: CM
Leaders should earn the confidence of the people: CM
AMARAVATI: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu directed ministers, MPs, and MLAs to ensure the success of the GST 2.0 Utsav by organizing campaigns until October 19 to raise awareness among the people about the benefits of GST 2.0 reforms. He said the poor and middle-class will benefit significantly from these reforms. As part of the campaign, sixty thousand meetings should be conducted, and ministers and MLAs should interact with 1.60 crore families to explain the advantages of GST reforms. The Chief Minister held a teleconference with ministers, MPs, and MLAs today.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that with the GST reforms, the prices of essential commodities have come down, benefiting the common man. He asked party workers to make the GST Utsav as successful as International Yoga Day celebrations. He stated that due to the reforms, the state government was able to save Rs 1,000 crore in the power sector. The previous government, he said, had destroyed the power sector, and by purchasing power at higher prices, had imposed a heavy burden on consumers. He stressed that party leaders should explain to the people the achievements of the state government in the power sector.
The Chief Minister said the NDA government had fulfilled the Super Six programme and has been implementing several welfare schemes. He emphasized that it is the responsibility of party leaders to explain these welfare programmes to the common man. Leaders should interact with the people to instill confidence in them, he said, adding that if leaders win the confidence of the people, the NDA government can win elections at any time. He made it clear that he would recognize only hardworking party workers and that there was no place for those who merely tried to impress him with words.
He accused the YCP of resorting to a false campaign, saying its MLAs were not attending Assembly sessions and were spreading misinformation. He called on party leaders to explain to the people the true attitude of YCP leaders.
