CM calls for Speeding Up Grievance Redressal ,to inform Applicants About the Status*

    CM Chandrababu Reviews Public Grievances.

Most Complaints from Revenue, Police, and Municipal Departments.

    Amaravati, April 8, 2025:
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to respond more swiftly to public complaints and petitions. He stressed  that applicants must be regularly updated on the status of their grievances and suggested the use of advanced technologies like AI to facilitate this process.

He instructed officials to resolve all actionable grievances within a stipulated timeframe. For cases that cannot be resolved, the complainant must be given a detailed explanation outlining the reasons.

During a special review meeting on grievance redressal held at the Secretariat on Tuesday, the Chief Minister issued several key instructions to officials. He stated that grievances should only be registered after collecting the applicant’s Aadhaar number and the Aadhaar-linked mobile number, which would help in curbing fake complaints.

He also stressed that if any individual repeatedly files complaints on the same issue in a manner that misleads or misuses the system, their details must be recorded and the complaint carefully scrutinized.

Once grievances are resolved, feedback should be collected from the complainants. The Chief Minister also directed District Collectors to personally follow up with complainants on issues forwarded to him directly, to ensure speedy resolution.

*90% of Complaints from 3 Departments:*

Officials informed the Chief Minister that the majority of public grievances originate from just three departments—Revenue, Police, and Municipal Administration.

Land-related complaints have increased due to the previous government’s violations in the re-survey process. Most common issues include name changes in revenue records, corrections in Pattadar passbooks, and discrepancies in land extent as recorded during the re-survey.

In the Police Department, complaints largely relate to property disputes, cybercrimes, marital issues, land-related conflicts, and financial fraud.

The Municipal Department has also seen a surge in complaints, mainly concerning encroachments on government land, unauthorised constructions, violations of regulations, and property tax disputes.
