Nagari:Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu made it clear that encouraging bad elements in politics harms society and people should be more careful and encourage only good leaders.
Participating in Swarna Andhra–Swachhandhra programme in Nagari of Chittoor district today, the Chief Minister laid foundation for solid waste management projects and inaugurated Swachha Rathas meant for waste collection. He visited various stalls set up at the public venue and reviewed products made by MEPMA and DWCRA women. He felicitated sanitation workers in recognition of their services.
Later addressing a meeting, the Chief Minister said that Swachhandhra is not just a government programme—it must become our way of life. That is why, on the third Saturday of every month, leaders and officials, including himself actively participating in the programme. He said that as part of Swachhandhra, we are laying foundation stones and inaugurating various development works worth a total of Rs 573 crore across the state. He said Under Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) 2.0, taking up 101 Integrated Solid Waste Management projects at a cost of Rs 510 crore. He said four waste-to-energy plants will be taken up in Kurnool, Rajahmundry, Kadapa, and Nellore under the PPP model next month. Proposals are also in place for similar plants in Vijayawada and Tirupati. As part of plastic free state drive the State Secretariat and offices of 17 municipal corporations and municipalities have completely stopped the use of plastic. He alleged that during the previous regime, Amaravati was subjected to a “three-capital drama,” branded as a cremation ground and a desert. Even now, he said, false allegations of credit theft are being made. He made it clear Amaravati is unstoppable and it will be developed as a global city.
The Chief Minister said land is an emotional issue for people and alleged that the previous government harassed people through the Land Titling Act and 22 irregular provisions Rs 700 crore of public money was misused merely for photos on survey stones and passbooks.After the coalition government came to power, land-related issues were resolved, and Pattadar Passbooks bearing the official seal are being issued to secure people’s property rights.
Stating that Nagari constituency is a stronghold of the Telugu Desam Party, the Chief Minister recalled the services of late Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu to Nagari. He assured on bringing Krishna river water to Nagari by the 2029 and added that . Nagari will be developed on the lines of Kuppam.
Ministers Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy, MLA Gali Bhanu Prakash Naidu, MP D. Prasada Rao and other leaders were present.
