Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would visit the flood-affected Alluri Sitaramaraju, Eluru and Konaseema districts on Monday and Tuesday -- August 7 and 8. He would interact with the flood victims.

On Monday, the CM would meet the victims of Kunavaram, VR Puram and Vadara in Alluri district. Later, he would visit Gommugudem in Kukkunur mandal.

Jagan Reddy would leave Tadepalli residence at 9.30 am on Monday and reach Kothulagutta in Koonavaram mandal of ASR district. After talking to officials about the Godavari floods and relief efforts, the CM would have a meeting with the flood victims of Kunavaram and VR Puram mandals at the Kunavaram bus stand centre.

The CM would later reach Gommugudem in Kukunoor mandal. After viewing the photo exhibition arranged on the flood damage there, he would meet the flood-affected families. He would later reach Rajamahendravaram at R&B Guesthouse where he would meet officials and public representatives and stay there for the night.

On August 8, Jagan Reddy would leave the Rajamahendravaram Arts College ground at 9.10 am and reach Gurajapulanka in Mummidivaram mandal of Konaseema district. After meeting the flood victims there, he would reach Tanelanka Ramalayampet village. He would interact with the flood victims there and later reach Kondukuduru and Thotraamudivaripet in Ainavilli mandal. He would meet the flood victims.

The CM would return to the Tadepalli residence in the afternoon.

Telugu Desam chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu and leaders of other Opposition parties criticised the chief minister for not visiting flood-affected areas. "Jagan Reddy bound himself to Tadepalli palace, ignored the plight of the flood victims and failed to organise relief and rescue operations," they alleged.

Responding to this, the CM said, "I will visit the flood-hit areas next Monday and Tuesday and review the relief measures. If I had gone to the flood-affected areas earlier, it would have caused problems in the effective implementation of the flood-related relief and rescue operations. I have already instructed the officials to do their best and be kind in helping the victims."

"I had directed them that the affected families and individuals should be given 2000 and 1000 respectively when they are sent back to their homes from relief camps. If flood water entered houses, such victims would be compensated with 2000 while all other victims would be given rations of 25 kg rice, one kg vegetables, 1kg red gram and 1litre edible oil," he add
