Special Chief Secretary, Health Medical & Family Welfare Shri M.T. Krishna Babu IAS appealed managements of Corporate Institutions to help for recover of TB patients by providing food to them under PMTBMBA. As a part of CSR activity, Cohance Life sciences Ltd President (operations) Mr MSN Reddy handed over cheque of Rs.40 lakhs today through Connect To Andhra CEO Shiva Shankar to M.T.Krishna Babu IAS in his chamber, APIIC Towers 6th Floor, Mangalagiri Guntur district on today.
M.T.Krishna Babu appreciated Cohance Life Sciences management for their social concern and came forward to feed additional food baskets to TB patients. Other corporates also should follow these people to get inspiration. He also appreciated Connect TO Andhra CEO initiating to raise the funds from Corporates particularly for Health Department for Which Honourable chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy given top priority for the sake of poor people Health improvement in the state.
Commissioner of Health and family Welfare Sri J.Nivas IAS said , till now 33,745 food baskets were distributed among the 38,425 consented TB Patients. About 2417 TB patients will be provided additional nutrition with this Rs. 78 lakhs in NTR, ASR and Parvathipuram Manyam districts for coming 6 months in addition to the recovery. Joint Director TB Dr T.Ramesh said, under the able guidance of Commissioner Health and Family welfare Sri J.Nivas IAS the state TB Cell is continuously approaching various corporates for getting registered as Nikshy Mitras for the poor TB patients in the State.
“As a part of our CSR activities, we will continuously engage ourselves in various activities with the effort to reach out to the last person. The focus of our CSR activities is on Health and Education.
With Connect To Andhra being the nodal agency of implementing various CSR activities in AP State, we are associating ourselves with Connect To Andhra for the supply of nutritious food for the TB patients in the NTR district and other districts for a period of about six months. We already given Rs.38 Lakhs to the District collector Sri S.Dilli Rao IAS recently. Total Rs.78 lakhs we have donated to TB Patients including Rs.40 lakhs today” said cohance Life sciences Ltd president (operations) Sri MSN Reddy.
