Collectors play key role in success of government programmes:CM
AMARAVATI: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu advised newly appointed district collectors to give best performance adopting humanitarian approach. Stating that district collectors will play key role in success of government programmes, the Chief Minister said collectors should mingle with common people to serve better.
The state government today issued orders appointing new collectors to 12 districts. Interacting with the newly appointed collectors through video conference, the Chief Minister said that he made hectic exercise for appointing collectors as people developed high aspirations on NDA government and it is the duty of government to fulfill their aspirations. Stating that he achieved good results with best team of officials, the Chief Minister said that he used to visit the cyclone affected areas personally including Hud Hud cyclone at Visakhapatnam for ten days to instill confidence among both people and officials. He said there will be good recognition for government which react immediately when there is an urgency.
Stating that getting posting as district collector itself is a good opportunity for any official to prove their talent and efficiency and at the same time to earn good name and recognition. Describing the new collectors as his (CM) team, the Chief Minister said it is the responsibility of the new collectors to give best performance. He said that he is ready to encourage the best performers.
Explaining on political governance, the Chief Minister said when ministers and MLAs asked for any thing the collectors should decide whether it is useful for people or not. He said due respect should be given to elected leaders. He said that he suffered loss with bureaucratic governance and not with political governance.
The Chief Minister advised the collector to behave like a common man take creative and innovative decisions to benefit people. He said that the collectors should compete with other districts in development. He asked the collectors to take the government welfare programmes to people through interaction and at the same time to be more vigilant towards social media platforms spreading fake news.
