Vijayawada Floods: Heavy rains and floods caused severe damage in Andhra Pradesh. Some parts of Vijayawada are still under flood water. It's been three days and the flood is still not letting them go. The government is providing all the facilities they need. At present, the AP government, which is busy with rehabilitation and providing basic necessities to the victims, has also focused on basic assessments.

Officials have basically concluded that the rains in AP have caused crop damage in around five lakh acres. A full report will be given to the government after the field visit. More than twenty districts of the state have been affected by the rains, among which there has been heavy damage in Guntur and Krishna districts. Then it is said that the effect is more on West Godavari district.
    Rice crop loss is high

It is estimated that the rice crop has been damaged in about three and a half lakh acres due to these rains. Most of the damage was done in Guntur and Krishna districts. Officials have found that nearly three lakh acres of water is under water in these districts. Later, it is said that the crop has been damaged in more than 30 thousand acres in Godavari districts. Officials say that the damage will be up to 15 thousand per acre due to rains. Along with paddy farmers, cotton, maize, millet and pesara farmers are among those whose crops have been damaged. Thousands of acres of cotton are said to be submerged. It is said that rains not only damage the crop but also bring in pests.
About 70 thousand people are hiding in relief camps due to floods. Another two lakh people are spending time in the flood. The government says that this situation has arisen due to a record flood of 11.40 lakh cusecs in the Krishna River. Calculations say that Budameru has never experienced a flood of this level in 40 years.

    Toll free numbers for assistance

The government has announced that 19 people have died in AP due to floods. It is said that the whereabouts of the two are still unknown. It is estimated that about two thousand kilometers of roads have been damaged. It has been said that already drowned people are staying in 176 rehabilitation centers. It said that 171 medical camps have been set up specially for them. It explained that 36 NDRF and SDRF teams are working continuously in the relief operations. It has been announced that 3 lakh food packets and water bottles are ready for the victims. The government has taken the help of boats, drones and helicopters to deliver these. The government also said that in emergency time, you can call 112, 1070, 18004250101 toll free numbers and get help.

Roads, houses, crops and other infrastructure were completely destroyed due to the heavy floods. As of now, people are still in flooded areas, so the focus is on helping them. While helping the victims on the one hand, on the other hand they are doing electricity restoration work and road reconstruction.
