Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that the state government must make use of central government's Purvodaya scheme to develop agriculture and allied sectors.
Reviewing on agriculture and allied sectors at his camp office today, the Chief Minister stressed the need for value addition to both agriculture, Aqua culture and horticulture. He said officials should study market trends and thereby encourage farmers to take up cultivation of those crops in demand.
The Chief Minister said farmers producers organisations should be encouraged by interlinking them with food processing companies to get higher price for agriculture produce. He said officials should study both domestic and national market trends to get remunerative prices for produce. He said priority should be given to food processing units in MSME parks to be set up in all 175 constituencies.
