Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is keen on making a grand success of the Amaravati Capital relaunch by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 2, while aiming to complete construction of the capital within three years. The CM held a meeting in this regard with his cabinet colleagues and senior officers at his Undavalli residence on Sunday. He recalled that the previous YSRC government had hatched several conspiracies to undermine construction of AP’s capital at Amaravati.
However, within 10 months of the TD-led NDA coming to power, the state government has overcome all challenges. It is now relaunching the capital works with the Prime Minister being the chief guest once again. “They (YSRC) destroyed the foundation stone that the PM had laid earlier. The same PM will relaunch the works, giving a fitting reply to those who tried to stall building of a wonderful capital," Chandrababu Naidu remarked
He maintained that Amaravati is the self-respect, sentiment and aspiration of the people of Andhra Pradesh. No power on earth can stall it. He expressed confidence that Amaravati will generate revenue and create employment opportunities for all sections of people. Asking the ministers and officers to organise the PM’s programme in a very spectacular way, the Chief Minister disclosed that Narendra Modi is evincing keen interest in building Amaravati.
“The Prime Minister made several suggestions with regard to Amaravati during our recent meeting in New Delhi,” Chandrababu Naidu underlined. The Chief Minister directed officers to see to it that no inconvenience is caused to the people who gather for the May 2 meeting from various parts of the state. He emphasised that as the heat would be intense, arrangements must be made for drinking water. In particular, food should be supplied to all those who are coming from faraway places
Chandrababu Naidu said tight security arrangements must be made, while ensuring that no inconvenience is caused to the people who are gathering for the meeting from various corners of the state. Those who participated in the meeting include ministers Payyavula Kesav, Anagani Satya Prasad, Ponguru Narayana, Kollu Ravindra, Nadendla Manohar and Satya Kumar Yadav, the Director General of Police (DGP) and officers of various departments.
