Massive Boost to Andhra Pradesh: ₹31,167 Cr Investments, Over 32,000 Jobs Cleared at 5th SIPB Meet*
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu pointed out that investments should not just remain on paper but must translate into ground-level execution, with industries starting production as committed. He directed officials to ensure that every approved project comes with a clear timeline for commencement of operations and that progress is tracked in phases accordingly.
At the 5th State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) meeting held at the Secretariat here today, approvals were granted for investments worth ₹31,167 crore across 17 companies, projected to generate 32,633 jobs. The investments span sectors such as IT, Food Processing, Energy, and Industry.
Highlighting transparency, the CM instructed officials to submit a detailed report in the next SIPB meeting on how many companies have started production and how many jobs have actually materialised. A dedicated job tracking portal with company-wise employment data will soon be launched.
IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh proposed land allotment to IT companies at nominal prices to attract more firms, which the CM agreed to by suggesting necessary revisions to the state’s IT policy.
