Kurnool: Minister of industries and commerce T.G. Bharath said the district is benefiting from CSR funds, with Rs 50 lakh spent on various development projects under the auspices of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages. The minister and district collector P. Ranjit Basha inaugurated the Anganwadi centres renovated with CSR funds in Budhawarpet and Indira Gandhi Nagar on Monday. The minister said that Coca-Cola, under Projects Shine and WASH, has funded several initiatives, including two new mineral water plants at the government general hospital and Anganwadi centre upgrades.

He emphasised that Rayalaseema is a backward region that needs industrial growth. In the past eight months, MoUs have been signed for investments worth Rs 6 lakh crore in the recent Davos summit. He credited Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for achieving in eight months what would take five years and assured that the government was working towards fulfilling the promises made under the “Super Six”

The collector, Ranjit Basha, expressed happiness over the launch of various projects, including water plants, garbage collection electric vehicles and Anganwadi renovations at the government general hospital. Himanshu Priyadarshi, chief public affairs, communications and sustainability officer of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB), said their CSR programmes focus on creating a lasting impact. He noted that HCCB, in partnership with the AP State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC), has provided sales and marketing training to over 7,650 individuals across seven districts, including Kurnool. Kurnool RDO Sandeep Kumar, municipal commissioner S. Ravindra Babu, Coca-Cola company manager Mukund Trivedi and others participated in the programme
