RAJAMPETA: Chief Minister N Chandrbabu Naidu challenged YCP MLAs for a discussion on development and welfare schemes being implemented by NDA government instead of YCP resorting to false campaign. Stating that the YCP cannot deceive people through false campaign and if the 11 elected MLAs attend assembly session, he (CM) is ready to discuss on the development and welfare programmes. He said that he is also ready for discussion on government's super six schemes, irrigaiton projects and investments and at the same time on murder politics of YCP including YS Vivekananda Reddy murder, door delivery of bodies and on the dramas of YCP for political mileage.He made it clear that the government is ready to punish those who resort to abuse women using social media platform.
The Chief Minister visited Boinapalli village of Rajampet mandal today as part of Pedalaku Sevalo programme and visited house of Yadavalli Sumitramma and distributed pension to her personally. He interacted with the family members and later addressed a public meeting Praja Vedika.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that distributing pensions is a responsibility of government and the NDA government spent Rs 42000 cr towards pensions so far. He said former Chief Minister NT Rama Rao introduced with pension scheme with Rs 30 and he increasned the pension amount several times including ten times in five years and 12 times for physically challenged persons. He said that the previous YCP government misused the pension scheme by distributing pensions to their party cadre by producing fake certificates. He said the state government sanctioned 7,872 widow pensions recently and distributing pensions to 8,10,182 physically challenged people.
The Chief Minister said the state government committed for welfare of all sections of people and has been implementing several welfare schemes in addition to the promises made during elections. He appealed to people to raise voice against false campaign of YCP leaders.
Chandrababu Naidu said that he assumed charge as Chief Minister on the same day (Sept 1) 30 years ago discharged duties amidst facing several challenges. He assured the development of Rajampet constituency though the coalition parties failed to get the MLA and MP seat. Stating that politics and administration are different, he promise to make efforts for medical college for Rajampet.
Later the Chief Minister visited Boinapalli Dhobi ghat and interacted with washermen. He directed the officials to construct sheds and provide necessary facilities for the washermen.
