Amaravati, March 30, 2025: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu stated that Mission P4 is dedicated to supporting the poor and that this initiative will be a game changer in society. He emphasised that P4 is a remarkable program that will create history. The program was launched in Amaravati on Sunday, where the CM, along with Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, unveiled the official logo and later addressed the public.
*My Life is Dedicated to Public Service*
Any initiative undertaken on the auspicious Telugu New Year, Ugadi, is bound to be successful. That is why we are launching the P4 initiative to eradicate poverty. We are in government with Pawan Kalyan, who thinks about the state’s future, and Modi, who envisions making India a global superpower. Having the right leader as Prime Minister at the right time is our good fortune.
I don’t often speak about myself, but today I will. I first became an MLA in 1978, and in three years, I will complete 50 years in public service. My life is dedicated to the people who have supported me for five decades. I have served as an MLA nine times, CM four times, opposition leader for 15 years, and party president for 30 years. No one else in the country has received such an honor, which I owe to the people of this state. Reflecting on my journey fills my heart with pride.
*I Grew Up with NTR’s Discipline*
NTR was a symbol of discipline and determination—he never rested until he achieved his goals. Under his guidance, I was raised with strict discipline. For the past 47 years, I have lived my life for the people, constantly thinking about the state’s progress and striving to bring change to people’s lives.
I have always believed in good governance and ethical politics. My policies have always been aimed at transforming lives. I introduced initiatives like bringing governance to the people, the Janmabhoomi program, and the IT revolution. I only know how to work—I have no other habit. Every morning, I wake up thinking about how I can bring positive change to people's lives. Every night, I reflect on what I have accomplished that day. I have never done anything wrong, nor will I ever do so.
I have a family too, but I never wanted politics to be their source of livelihood. That’s why I established the Heritage Group and entrusted it to my family. They do not depend on me—I rely on them. Financial independence gives confidence, and that confidence is what drives me today. My wife had no interest in business, but when I explained that our family needed financial stability, she stepped up to run Heritage. At that time, Lokesh was still young and studying.
*Amaravati: A World-Class City*
Many TDP workers have faced hardships, and some even lost their lives. Those who carried the party flag for me perished, leaving their children orphaned. To support them, we established a trust, provided them with education, and helped them build successful lives. I personally visited their schools, spent time with them, and asked them about their future goals. Some used to say they would seek revenge against those who killed their fathers. I convinced them that revenge would only lead to jail and encouraged them to pursue education instead. Today, many of them have settled into prosperous lives.
In 1991, Telugu leader P.V. Narasimha Rao introduced economic reforms that transformed India. When NTR became CM, he launched welfare programs for the poor. The idea of national highways started from a simple thought. Malaysia, with just 20 million people, had eight-lane roads. Our country is much larger, yet we had no highways. I told the then PM to leave the matter to me, and we built a road from Nellore to Chennai. Today, India’s highway network has transformed. The country has seen improvements in power, airports, and telecommunications.
Once, only the wealthy had access to telephones. After bringing in IT, even farmers’ children now work in foreign countries. Similarly, Amaravati will become one of the world's leading cities.
*We Have Put Governance Back on Track*
Governance had gone off track, but we have set things right. Pawan, the central government, and I are focused on rebuilding the state, and our efforts are yielding results. We have restored Amaravati’s vision. With the central government’s support, we will complete the Polavaram project by 2027. We secured a railway zone for Visakhapatnam and prevented the privatisation of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant with financial aid from the center.
We won the elections with a 93% strike rate, and the seats you helped us secure are now fueling the state’s development. In 1995, I spoke about IT; today, I am talking about Quantum Valley and AI. These innovations will shape the future. My wish is for the Telugu people to prosper. The TDP was founded to uplift the Telugu community.
*Lifting the Poor Out of Poverty*
I will not stop until I uplift the poor. After economic reforms, public-private partnerships emerged. I introduced self-help groups (DWCRA) and encouraged savings movements among women. I ensured that women do not suffer hardships—this is why we provided free gas cylinders, and now we are giving three free cylinders per year. We introduced 33% reservation for girls in education, and today, women’s income levels have increased. We also provided opportunities for women as RTC bus conductors. Women are excelling in all fields today.
*NTR is My Inspiration*
Bill Gates revolutionised the internet and later focused on philanthropy through the Gates Foundation. Billionaire Warren Buffett donates a large portion of his wealth to charity. Wipro’s Azim Premji has initiated several social programs. The government, too, contributes to social service through CSR initiatives.
Ambedkar faced social discrimination but persevered. The Maharaja of Baroda recognized his intellect and sponsored his studies in London with a monthly stipend of $12. Upon returning, Ambedkar became a pioneering lawyer, economist, and the architect of India’s Constitution. Similarly, former President Abdul Kalam, despite social barriers, was mentored by his teacher, who encouraged him.
Behind every great leader, there is a mentor. Swami Vivekananda had Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. Just as Vivekananda grew into a globally admired leader, NTR was my guiding force. Without NTR, I would have remained an ordinary person. His discipline and determination shaped my life, and I will never forget that.
*Without Support, Talent is Wasted*
Many people have talent but lack the support to succeed. Even our own relatives sometimes struggle in poverty and are unable to study. We must support such individuals. Wealth cannot be taken after death—what remains is whether we lived selfishly or did good for others. Using our resources to bring light into people's lives gives unparalleled satisfaction.
If we educate and empower the Telugu people, they will create wealth themselves. We will provide every family with a home, electricity, internet, water, toilets, and gas. As someone who was made CM four times by the people, I am committed to improving society. This initiative is a game changer.
*A Concrete Plan by August 15*
We have drafted the Swarna Andhra Vision-2047. Last year, the per capita income was ₹2,66,995; this year, it is ₹2,98,065. By 2028-29, it will reach ₹5,42,985, and by 2047, it will be ₹55 lakh. To achieve this, people must change their mindset. By 2047, India will be a global superpower, and the Telugu community must lead the way.
We must implement welfare programs, create wealth, and increase income. My plans have never failed. By August 15, we will shape this initiative into a concrete form, and by the next Ugadi, I will present our progress to you
