APTRANSCO initiated the implementation of Geographical Information System (GIS) with an objective to maintain assets of all EHT Network elements comprising details of 63000 Nos. towers, 30010 ckm of line lengthand 358 Nos. EHT Substations equipment details.
An exclusive GIS division was formed for this purpose and entire network data was mapped geographically onto a single platform with the active support of field officers and implemented from 2020.
This facilitated the field Engineers for planning effective maintenance activities and conducting preliminary survey by accessing the data through geographic mapsand also helped the Power System Engineers to conduct System Studies efficiently.
Integration of real time SCADA data with GIS network enabled SRLDC to monitor grid parameters of Islanding Scheme. The GIS dashboards developedas part of this activity supported the management in taking decisions so as to execute ongoing projects in time.
Recognizing the above unique and innovative work SKOCH group felicitated APTRANSCO with SKOCH Award -GOLD under Power & Energy category for the project“APTRANSCO Network Maintenance And Monitoring Information System”.
In the 88th SKOCH award summit 2022, State of Governance, held on 20th Jan 2023 virtually, APTRANSCO is the only organisation to receive GOLD award in Power & Energy category in all over India.
