Hyderabad: Industries Minister and TRS working president KT Rama Rao said the TRS government was committed to its electoral promises and had waived crop loans upto Rs 50,000 for more than nine lakh farmers in the State. He stated that the government’s commitment to the well-being of farmers can be seen in its resolve to see farmers debt-free.
In a series of tweets, the Minister said the TRS made a commitment to waive farm loans up to Rs 1 lakh in 2014. Redeeming the promise, loans of 35.19 lakh farmers amounting to Rs 16,144.10 crore have been waived off so far.
