HYDERABAD: Milad-un-Nabi, to be observed on Wednesday, saw congregational gatherings and preaching sessions begin at Exhibition Grounds, Nampally, on Tuesday. The event included Quran recitals. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy extended greetings to Muslims on the occasion, noting that the day commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad. He said the Prophet’s values of peace, love, brotherhood, compassion and humanity serve as an eternal ideal for society and a guiding force for global harmony.
Reddy said the government accorded priority to the welfare and development of Muslim minorities, striving for their social, economic and educational upliftment. He wished that Milad-un-Nabi would bring peace, happiness and brotherhood. The AIMIM organised Jalsa-e-Rahmatul-lil-Alameen at Darussalam, where party leaders Asaduddin Owaisi and Akbaruddin Owaisi addressed large gatherings on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.
