Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Manipuri Society has called for a peaceful sit-in on Sunday by Manipur natives at Dharna Chowk, to condemn the ongoing violence in the state. Over 120 people have been killed and over 300 injured, with over 70,000 people displaced by the violence.
The violence began with a protest by the All Tribals Students Union Manipur against a Manipur High Court order, which directed the state to consider the demand of the majority Meiteis for ST status.
