Hyderabad: The Nehru Zoological Park on Wednesday released a pair of white swans into an enclosure for public display. NS Ramjee, an animal lover and regular animal adopter at the zoo since 2010, donated the white swans on behalf of his parents.
Chief Conservator of Forest (Wildlife) and Chief Wildlife Warden Elusing Meru, who released the swans into the enclosure, said the zoo is a pioneer in the country with a large number of animals on display for public viewing. With this new addition, the zoo is currently housing 199 species and more than 2,000 individuals
