Hyderabad: The Tyagaraja Aradhana Festival 2026, organised by Keerthana Arts Foundation, was inaugurated on a grand note in the city on Saturday.

Held in memory of renowned music vidwan late Dr. Seshachari, with support from Aurobindo Pharma Foundation, the inaugural day at Meenakshi Sundaram Hall in West Marredpally witnessed an enthusiastic turnout of music lovers.

The festival, dedicated to Sadguru Tyagaraja—one of the foremost composers of the Carnatic music trinity—aims to nurture young talent while showcasing the richness of classical music through performances by seasoned artistes.

The programme, held from 2 pm to 9 pm, featured a series of vocal and instrumental recitals that captivated the audience.

Young performers, including disciples of noted gurus Violin Vasudevan and J.S. Sriram, impressed with their well-trained presentations.

A major highlight of the evening was a veena recital by eminent vidwan Sri D. Srinivas, which received wide appreciation.

Other performances by Sri Vishnu Chandrasekharan, Chi. Duddu Manasa, and the Aruna–Padma duo also drew applause from the gathering.

A large number of music enthusiasts, students, and connoisseurs attended the event, contributing to its success.

Organisers announced that the second day of the festival will be held on March 22. Speakers lauded the foundation’s efforts in promoting classical music and encouraging young talent
